Healing Hearts is a Christian Based Adult Mentoring and Group Therapy Program, and our means of sharing our mission and outreach experience with others, and what we'll use to connect the church to its local community. As well, it is a Program that brings structure and discipline to those involved. It is further implemented by our participating partners that have also embraced their God given responsibility to heal broken hearts and bring change to their communities.
In His Mandate to the church (Acts 1:8) Jesus said "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
This seems to have been somewhat forgotten today, but it was God's Mandate to the early church to impact the world and that did, in fact, happen in its early days; but now many churches have become stationary buildings with limited open door policies. God never intended His true church (people, not buildings) to be stationary, it was given the commandment to Go into the communities of the world and to all, and to bring those in the communities to His House (church).
Luke 14:23 Then the master said to the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.
“You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men.
“You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house.
Let your light so shine before men, that they might see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven” (Matt. 5:13-16)
We will help and assist our participants to find suitable employment and provide employment assistance to help maintain employment while in our program. The same will apply concerning school and other means of advancing oneself.
We promote and welcome family support and participation in our Holistic approach to achieving positive results. Family restoration can, at times, play an important part in becoming a productive member of society.
A high number of people who exhibit troubling behavior could also be struggling with mental health and/or substance abuse issues. Addressing this is critical to rebuilding lives, and why we'll seek the required remedies for our participants.
It is our desire to support our participants during any court or legal requirements. A mentor can be very supportive before and be present during court appearances.
and some who have committed other crimes, could be considered for an Alternative to Incarceration, where participation in 'The Destiny Program' could avoid and prevent future incarceration.
They are like us and also share our desire and willingness to rebuild what is torn-down and broken in the lives of so many, and they understand that Outreach is God's charge to His people to bring positive change to their Communities.
